Great boot for comfort and style.
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I spent at least a month looking for the perfect boot to wear at work. I walk at least 2-2.5 miles at work each day so I wanted something that was comfortable. I also wanted something that fit over jeans and would leave a large gap. These boots were perfect. I was able to wear them all day without having my feet hurt. They also fit perfectly over my jeans. I ordered these boots in the grey and I was very happy with the color as well. I would buy them again and in different colors as well.

Had these boots before but left them in Amsterdam and couldn’t live without them so I bought a new pair! They are great and they got to me fast, fabulous service!

    wished for so much more
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I loved these boots- frequently went to look at them at the department store but hadn’t bothered to try them on as I couldn’t spend the extra money right now. Then I received them as a gift! I do not notice any of the hard toe problems, and the shoe portion fits exactly to my usual size. My problem is they are too narrow to go up my calf! I’m not stick skinny by any means, but I’m not obese either..I’m a size 12 but couldn’t pull these up my calf more than half way. Unfortunately, I know that they can be slouched more than they appear to- because that’s the only way they’ll go on me!

A One Winter Boot. For Dry Cities Only.
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I bought these shoes after hearing/reading all the praise. But I have been disappointed.

Steve Madden boots are turning out to be VERY cheap these days.

When first buying them I thought they were cute and worked well, but as time went on and as I constantly walked to class and work in Manhattan in these shoes- they began to deteriorate. The card board at the bottom of the show began to show as the “suede” weakened and loosened.

I don’t know what the problem was, but I’m not a fan of certain steve madden things.

SO WHAT WENT WRONG? I think that though I wear a size 9.5, I should have gotten a 9. A smaller size for these shoes is something to consider because it leaves less slouch on the bottom heel of the shoes. I feel like my 9.5 has grown into a 10 because of the wear and tear and loosening. Also, alot of walking was bad for these shoes- so not good for daily use in a big city. It sometimes ended up raining when I wore them, maybe 4-5 times, so I had to walk a few blocks in the rain with them. And I wore them when it snowed… these shoes DO NOT like water in any form.

These shoes only lasted me one winter! That’s bull-crap. I bought some of those cheaper look-alike Tianna boots for about $25 the winter before knowing that they would only last one season, but when buying these I planned for them to last me atleast 2 years. No way hosea, these suckers are NOT built to last!

Honestly though, when I first learned of these in 2007 they were quality, but the late 2008 version of these shoes are crap. They may have changed production and materials just to keep up with the demand and popularity of the boots… and they sacrificed quality.

Just be careful when purchasing. They should be fine if you don’t plan to wear them as everyday winter boots in walking cities. If you live in a city where people drive everywhere then you should be fine. You will also be fine if you live in a dry winter city, not a wet one.

Love this design. Could be a bit wider for tucking pants in around the top. They are like wearing moccasins; very lightweight and comfy.

These boots are sooo cute and I always get TONS of complements! Make sure you put some sort of protectant on them before wearing them since they are suede.

    These boots rock!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
After reading all the reviews for these boots and MANY others, I decided to purchase these. I was scared they would be a little too small (because of previous reviews saying they ran small), but the size 9 wasn’t available so I ordered a size 8.5. I typically wear a 8.5 but in some shoes I need a 9. I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived, because they fit PERFECT! Also I find the ’slouchyness’ to be quite perfect and adjustable really! These boots rock and I am the envy of all my friends… because I paid under 100 for a great looking pair of boots.

    I don`t think so.
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
The style is cute, and the price is cheaper about $30 then in department stores BUT..I checked them in the store, and size 7,5 was good (normally I wear size 8). I ordered 7,5 and they too small! I saw other review that one person ordered size down and was ok, I guess they`re very off. It was really uncomfortable and painful after a few seconds of trying for my toes. I wanted to reorder size 8, but I think I`ll pass (maybe for $30-40 I`d buy). They cute but kind of cheap.

    Cute Boots!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
These boots are very cute. I typically wear size 9 1/2 for a lot of my shoes, but I got these in a size 10 and they fit perfectly. I love these boots; the only problem is that the bottoms of the boots have NO traction. So, be VERY careful if it is icy or wet outside… These are definately more for fall/just as fashion boots, but still amazing.

    Absolute garbage for the price…
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I recently bought these as a Christmas present for my daughter. I was more than a little disappointed to see visible globs of glue affixing the sole, which is paper thin, to the boot itself. The ’slouch’ is permanent and not symetrical or flattering at all. I returned them rather than wrapping them – The purchase price was 79.99…. are they joking? These looked more like a 19.99 pair of discount store boots.

    very cute!!
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I just recieved these boots in the mail and tried them on as soon as I recieved them. They are very cute! I’m 5′8 so I try and look for shoes that don’t have heels especially most all dressy boots have heels so, these boots are perfect! I read the reviews before i ordered these boots because it is recommended to get half a size bigger. This is very true because they fit just right. The only reason You probably wondering at this point why I gave this review only a 4 star? Well, because on the right boot i found that there is not as much a slouch as the left boot. It is more straighter. It is not a great difference from a distance. You’d have to look at it up close so I am keeping them to not have to go through the hassle of returning them and waiting to get another pair. Overall, they are very cute! :)

These are really great boots. They come up to right below the knee and have a great slouch look. Looks cute over jeans or with a skirt and tights. I love these boots, I think I’ll get them in the other colors too!

    Cute, but…
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
These boots are so cute, but they are big in the calf. They are comfy and fit well but they make my calves look big when I wear them with skirts especially. I got them 1/2 size bigger and they fit perfectly. I haven’t gotten a chance to wear them out yet, so I’m hoping to get some compliments!

great boots need some help though
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
i love these boots. i got the brown pair and they go with almost everything. i think they have the right amount of “slouchiness” and i find them very comfortable. the calves are a bit loose on me.

i do have a problem tho – one of boots stays on my calf, the other is for some reason softer and “slouches” a few inches lower. maybe one of my calf is just skinner…anyone know how to make the slouchy one stay in place? i personally want them to stay a little below my knees, not below midcalf.

    cute, versatile, and pretty comfy
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
The boots are really cute on, and you can wear them with pretty much anything. They come up a little higher than mid-thigh (between mid-thigh and knee) and I’m 5′10″, so a shorter girl could make them a knee boot. The heel is thin and not supportive at all, and they are pretty thin in width through the foot, so wearing them for a really long time becomes a bit uncomfortable, but they aren’t uncomfortable in general. The thigh part of the boot is not tight, so if you’re looking more for a riding boot, this isn’t it. But, the material of the thigh part of the boot is stiff enough that it doesn’t fall down (even though it does have the slouch look). Overall, the boots are very, very cute and can be put in pretty much any outfit without a problem (skirts, jeans). I would recommend them to friends, and don’t regret the purchase at all.

For everyone out there who is questioning getting these boots, i was in that position. I thought these boots would not live up to my expectations. When i was looking at the sizes in the brown, i was disappointed to find that they did not have size 8 1/2. Instead i ordered 7 1/2, i had a feeling they would not fit. Choosing the smaller size was a terrific decision, looking back i now know that if i had picked any other size they would not fit me correctly. The boots go up to a little below your knee, they are able to slouch easily by scrunching the suede. The brown is such a pretty color, very dark chocolate colored. I love them. I highly think of these boots and would recommend them to any and everyone.

I was a little worried after reading some of these reviews especially about it being oddly bunched in one place, but I have to say I did not have this problem. I did order a half size up & they fit perfectly. They are not TOO slouchy so I don’t feel too trendy wearing them and they are very comfortable.I got them in black and am considering getting them in brown too b/c i like them that much.

I purchased these boots about a month ago and I couldn’t be happier. At first they were a little snug but I broke them in and they are so comfortable. They look cute with everything (jeans, skirts, and dresses). I was so lucky to have bought them on Amazon when they were only $45. I’m looking forward to getting the grey ones.

    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
These boots are very comfortable. Smooth tread versus a heavier outdoor boot. Mine were pretty stiff at first and I had trouble getting them on, but after several wearings they loosened a bit and are easier to put on now. They look nice with either a long dress, a skirt, or slacks. I would definitely buy these again. Since they are suede and I live in a wintery urban area, I have waterproofed them.

    Overall Great Pair of Boots
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Not too slouchy and not to stiff. Not much arch support. It is a chore to wear with my skinny jeans because the calf portion is very slimming, which is why I prefer to wear them with skirts. Overall I think they are a great pair of boots. Money well spent.

    Could be slouchier
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
These boots are kind of strange. They aren’t really slouchy enough. They just look sort of bunched up in one place rather than being slouchy all over. They are also NOT true to size. I would recommend buying them at least a half size larger than normal.
